Former Gambian international footballer, Bai Malleh Wadda (BMW) has been hired again to coach top Gambian club Real De Banjul. Malleh, a former Real man himself, is also well known for his versatility having suited for Gambia in many other sports.

A club official told The Standard that Malleh fits in very well with the club’s philosophy. “He is part of Real’s DNA. He loved and played in the team when he was very young and coached it successfully in the past. He is coming back home,” an excited Real official said yesterday. Bai Malleh’s return coincides with a major transformation at Real with the club now having its own home grounds and club house as well as a huge ambition to be counted among the elite clubs in Africa. Malleh must however deal with the current title race first where his team is in third place but only a few points adrift of leaders Fortune FC. Like a sprinter which he literally was, BMW loves hard work and fast results in addition to an eye for developing youth talents. He is remembered for his previous successful spell as coach at the club when he guided Real to two titles, two super cups titles and an FA Cup.
