All three are Gambians: a female and two males. They are: Modou Lamin Touray, 22, Muhammed Jallow, 19, and Oumie Camara, 20.
They were arrested when prison officers discovered some quantities of cannabis and clonazepam in three different bottles of body lotion creams during a routine search.
They were on visitation when they brought the said products for their associates who were incarcerated at the State Central Prison.
The suspected cannabis and clonazepam were wrapped in nylon bags and hidden in three different bottles. The Prison officers discovered some quantities of suspected cannabis and 16 tablets of clonazepam.
In a similar development, DLEAG Basse Field Office apprehended one Muhammed Dahaba, with nine wraps of suspected cannabis. He was clutched on the 11 January 2022 at Basse Badala.
And in the Kanifing Municipality, DLEAG’s Kairaba Field Office took into custody Hajie Trawally and Musa Sumbundu for possession of suspected cannabis sativa. They were nabbed on the 11 January 2022 with one bundle, one wrap and some quantities of suspected cannabis sativa at Kotu.
All the suspects were taken into custody while further investigations continue.
