It goes without saying that Fortune’s shocking humiliation of Algerian giants and former African champions Es Setif is a massive provocation that would not go unchallenged.

Sunday’s second leg provides the ultimate decisive blow that would either make or break the ambition of this daring Gambian club. With a 3-0 scoreline in their kitty, Fortune FC has its job cut out going into the second leg—score and further compound the Algerians’ nightmare or defend and risk surrendering the massive advantage to Setif who would almost certainty set their stadium on fire from the word go. The host have been bombarded with unfavorable coverage in Algeria with some media outlets describing them as hopeless against minnows Fortune and the criticism has started to bite. Coach Nabil Kouki is quoted as saying that his boys will make up for the error in Banjul to eliminate Fortune whereas Coach Joof said Fortune FC has players who are capable of doing anything in a match.

“We can play any player in any position and they will perform to expectation but we had to attack at home to win and have an edge,” he had said at the end of the first leg in Banjul last weekend.
