Overview
GAM-Solar Energy is the leading solar energy company in The Gambia and dedicated to providing professional solar energy designs and installations for efficiency and sustainable power supplies.
GAM-Solar was founded in 1998 with the vision to playing a pivotal role in the 3 key sectors of development: ELECTRICITY, WATER & FOOD through agricultural irrigation projects. Our technical department consists of highly qualified engineers and technicians. This has provided us with a vibrant work force to handle any of your energy needs or projects.
To date approximately over 80 village solar pumping stations installed by us are in full operation and provide clean potable water to more than 300,000 people in the rural setting of The Gambia. In collaboration with the Department of Water Resources, a five year contract scheme has been put in place for the maintenance and sustainability of these installed solar systems.
GAM-Solar is working closely with NGO’s, community based organisations and the Gambian Government. We have also completed major projects for EDF (EU), JICA (Japanese Gov.), UNICEF, Dutch Embassy- Dakar, Powerupgambia.org-USA, National Water and Electricity Company (NAWEC), Action Aid, Christian Children Funds and many other individual solar home systems (SHS) country wide coverage.
