Napoli Strikers Sink Sampdoria’s Back Pair Colley-Maya With a 4-0 Win

With only 3 goals conceded until Thursday, the sampdoria defense line was third best in Serie A, thanks to the new found pair of Maya Yoshida and Omar Colley. But the duo could do nothing to stop Seria A top contender on the table, Napoli. Maya and Colley crumbled under the heavy wave of attacks from Napoli strikers like Osimhen, Insigne and Lozano.

Thanks in part to a brace from Victor Osimhen, Luciano Spalletti’s men won 4-0.

While AC Milan and Napoli are the teams that conceded on 2 goals so far in 4 games, Sampdoria followed suit with only 3 goals conceded until Thursday.

As Sampdoria fans have noticed this season, the merit of this defensive strenght is to a great extent due to the good sweeping of the pair Colley-Yoshida. The duo was very convincing with always positive and regular performances. Sampdoria’s 3-0 victory at Empoli last Sunday was the second game without Omar Colley’s side and defence conceding a goal.

The other game with the blucerchiata coming out with a clean sheet has been, so far, in the Seria A away game against Sassuolo (0-0).

But the Napolitan strikers (Osimhen x2, Fabian, Zielinski) proved on Thursday that Omar Colley and his teamates in the Sampdoria defence have a lot to prove and compete the likes of AC Milan and Inter.

With the 4-0 victory over Omar Colley and Sampdoria, the Napolitans are first and sole leader in the standings with a full score board, raking 15 points out of fiteen, making it the only team to have won in the first five matches of the Itaalian championship.

Napoli is also leading thanks a prolific attack that has an average of 2.5 goals per game.
