West Ham, Leeds United to Bid in Omar Colley’s Price Tag of GBP8.5 million

West Ham and Leeds United can sign Sampdoria center-back Omar Colley for just EUR10 million (GBP8.5 million), according to a report from SampNews24, the Sampdoria club’s website. The English Premier League teams intend to fight for the Gambian international with over 80 Serie A appearances and 25 Gambia caps for a bargain price.

It all began Friday when Sampnews24 says club president Massimo Ferrero “won’t make discounts” and wants at least EUR10m (GBP8.5m) to release Omar Colley.

Club Doria 46 claimed earlier this month that the club wanted EUR15m (around GBP13m) for Colley.

West Ham is once again back for Omar Colley. However, Hammers boss David Moyes is on the lookout for a new center-back. Fabian Balbuena has left the London Stadium whilst Angelo Ogbonna and Craig Dawson are now 33 and 31.

This leaves Moyes with a lot of work on his hands this summer and limited funds available to him.

Meanwhile, Leeds United is reportedly still in pursuit of Omar Colley. As Sampdoria could potentially land the 6ft 3in defender for just GBP8.5m to raise funds and strengthen their ranks, Leeds United now sees a golden opportunity to recruit Omar Colley.

Admittedly, Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa already has several options at center-back.

However, Liam Cooper, Diego Llorente, and Robin Koch were all injured at the same time last season.

Meanwhile, Gaetano Berardi has not yet made a first-team appearance since returning from injury.

Therefore, Leeds may wish to strengthen their defensive ranks further, and Colley is certainly a great option.
