Ministers Njie & Sanyang fully recover, discharge from isolation centres

Accordingly, both ministers have since been discharged and can report to work as they are both declared well and asymptomatic.

It could be recalled that both ministers tested positive after taking the covid-19 tests on 1 August 2020.

Subsequently, Fafa Sanyang tested negative after a repeat test on 8 August 2020 and Mambury Njie also tested negative after a repeat test conducted on 22 August 2020.

Mr. Sanyang was discharged on 15 August, 2020 while Mr. Njie was discharged on the 23 August, 2020.

The Gambia government urges members of the public to continue following the regulations outlined by the Health Ministry and World Health Organisation on the covid-19 pandemic. Hand washing, face covering, social distancing and limited social gatherings are the new norms and all are encouraged to follow.
