The wanted EX Army General Sulayman Badjie, who is on exile in Equatorial Guinea, is on the verge of returning to The Gambia, Freedom Newspaper can reveal. Badjie has been in contact with some of his friends and relatives in The Gambia, and he has informed them that he was coming back home. “He will soon return home. He said he is coming back home. He will soon be here,” said our source.

General Badjie, whose real name is Karafa Bojang, traveled to Equatorial Guinea in January of 2017. He joined the army with someone’s school certificate.

He was part of dictator Yahya Jammeh’s entourage that resettled in Equatorial Guinea. Badjie now wants to return home. He has been speaking to his “trusted folks” in Banjul, per credible information gathered by this medium.

General Badjie has been accused of coordinating the activities of dictator Jammeh’s assassin team called the jungullars, a charge he recently denied. He claimed that he hasn’t killed any Gambian.

Meanwhile, Jammeh is said to have snubbed the APRC leaders in Banjul. He is not happy about the direction that the party is heading to. He hasn’t been talking to the party’s leadership lately, sources said.

General Badjie’s home return would be hailed by the families of Jammeh’s victims. Badjie has been adversely mentioned during the proceedings of the TRRC. Jammeh’s victims have been demanding for justice to be meted out to Yahya Jammeh, Saul Badjie and co.
