Scorpions forward Bubacarr Trawally is close to returning to United Arab Emirates (UAE) Pro League side Ajman Club.

The Gambia international, who joined the UAE-based club on loan from Saudi Arabian side Al-Shabab FC last season, is said to be in talks with them for another stint.

Steve, as fondly called, earlier in July, attracted interest from ‘unnamed’ Hungarian clubs which The Chronicle was later able to find out were Budapest Honved FC, Ferencvaros and Mezokovesdi SE who were the first to table an official offer for the Bundung-born forward.

Turkish clubs Fatih Karagumruk and Samsunspor have also tabled bids for the 25-year-old but were rebuffed by Al-Shabab.

The Scorpions international was coy on reacting on the news when contacted for his comments on the potential move, only saying: “I cannot 100% comment on something that hasn’t been confirmed. All I can confirm is I have been receiving offers from clubs in the UAE, in Turkey and some in Europe but nothing is finalized as at now.”

Steve Trawally netted seven times in fifteen appearances last season for Ajman before the UAE Pro League season was cut short by the outbreak of the coronavirus.

He has a two-year contract remaining with Al-Shabab.
