Overview
Shyben A. Madi & Sons Ltd (established 1890) is one of the oldest trading houses in the Gambia. The company structure is based on 3 main divisions:
The Food Commodities division: The company imports rice, sugar, wheat flour, tomato paste, and oil, then sells those products in the local Gambian market.
The Motor Vehicles division: Shyben A. Madi & Sons Ltd. is the exclusive agent for Nissan, and Peugeot in The Gambia, and has a spare parts department and a vehicle service garage that complement this division. In addition to that, the company is the exclusive agent for Yamaha outboard engines, and one of the biggest distributors of Perkins UK generators in the Gambia.
The Office & IT equipment division: The company is the exclusive agent for Xerox and Riso in the Gambia. This division includes sales and maintenance of computers, laptops, photocopiers, printers and related accessories.
