The full contingent of the Scorpions including Coach Tom Saintfiet will arrive in Libreville today Monday on a special flight from Brussels where they have been gathering since Friday.
The flight, arranged by the Gambia Football Federation and the government of the Gambia will ferry the team to Gabon and fly them to Banjul for the other leg of the match before carrying the players back to Brussels. Already two players Ebrima Sohna and Bubacarr Sanneh are in Gabon having arrived there alongside officials from the ministry of sports and the GFF.
The team will be hosted at the Park Inn Hotel in Libreville a few minutes’ drive from the Airport. Meanwhile the official camp and training will start on Tuesday 10th November.
The Scorpions will play Gabon on Thursday 12th November in Franceville at 4:30pm with the return fixture in Banjul scheduled for Monday 16th November.
The Gambia leads Group D on 4 points (+2) goals ahead of Gabon, DR Congo and Angola.
