After winning the Wafu Zone A Under-20 cup, The Gambia has now shifted attention to the Wafu Under-17 championship. The draw for that competition takes place today in Freetown, Sierra Leone ahead of the competition, to be held from December 11 to 20 in Freetown.
The Baby Scorpions over the weekend conducted the mandatory Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) test on its provisional squad.
A total of 30 players underwent the test conducted at the Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital (EFSTH) in Banjul facilitated by the GFF Medical Committee. Another MRI test is expected to be held in the coming days before the team departs for Freetown.
Team coach Abdoulie Bojang described the test as “very important for all the players so that when the results are out we will be able to concentrate on the ones that have passed through.”
