Brikama united coach Nyassi optimistic his side will shine this season

Brikama United head coach Modou Lamin Nyassi has spoken about his club’s target this season as the GFF league kicks off for the 2021/2022 season.
Title contendersNyassi highlighted that his outfit is very competitive and will always fight to win laurels.
“For Brikama United, we always come to compete. If we are competing, we are going for the top prize. That’s the same approach we’re going to take this season.”
 Preseason
The budding trainer further explained why he chose the West Coast region for his preseason training schedule as he is convinced it will help his toughen up.
“The reason why we called for the preseason across the West coast region is that the players have sat down for a very long time. It helped a lot, seeing that the west coast preseason consists of first & second division teams. We welcome this year with a trophy, we are ready so are the boys. Definitely we shall see the form the boys picked up during the preseason.”
Transfers
Nyassi also spoke about transfers as he touched on possible departures and their replacements.
“Modou Manneh went to Real De Banjul, Modou Lamin Bojang is with the U20, we have called a defender from Greater Tomorrow who plays half back. Dumbuya is back with us after spells with GAF in Senegal, he is a fine replacement for Umitti. Momodou Jadama has returned from Turkey, besides that we have a couple of young players from Greater Tomorrow, they are rising stars. We also have Mola, a senior player who joined us from Wallidan. I am very much happy with the transfers. We captured Modou Sowe from Fortune FC, it’s a new look Brikama united and I look up to the future.” He emphasized.
“The target of the management is not the league trophy this season as they want to see us developing and giving young talents the opportunity for marketing. Notwithstanding, if we win the league, we have all the support to go to the CAF competition. We are in high gear, the team talk we have was very successful.”
