Fortune FC coach Jane Joof : We won’t be carried away”
Jane Joof watched his petroleum boys 4-0 derby win against Brikama United with Ebrima Camara netting a brace while Leyfo, and Assan Njie got one each.
The victory saw Jane Joof Fortune go on top of the Gambian league with four points clear ahead of their closest rival.
“Our match against Brikama United is never easy, its derby even
before Saturday clash previous matches were well contested.” Joof stated.
“The 4-0 win was a good result per our preparation. We capitalize on our form and hence when we play away we have the confidence that whoever performs will come on top. The results didn’t come as a surprise.”
“I know the potential of the team, so we just work with their strength to have that collective team.”
Joof further stressed that the road has been tedious as they have met some of the big teams so far and they will continue to keep their momentum.
“None of our six games was an easy ride, they were big teams. It’s just that the results are not going on their way. Meaning, anytime we meet them won’t be easy. We just have our plan and target. Anything that comes across our way won’t surprise us.”
“Fortune is an established club now, we have gathered lots of experience that we need. If we are wining now, it’s something we have worked for.”
“We will remain humble and make sure we aren’t carried away as we go match in match out.” He added.
