GAMBIA: BANJUL MUSLIM ELDERS LEADER ALIEU MBOGE HOSPITALIZED AMID REPORTS OF CORONAVIRUS INFECTION

The Leader of the Banjul Muslim elders Alhagie Alieu Mboge, has been hospitalized amid reports that he might be infected with Coronavirus. Mr. Mboge has been admitted at the Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital (EFSTH). He is being observed by medical workers.

Mr. Mboge had served as Managing Director of The Gambia Ports authority during the PPP thirty years rule. He was also the Managing Director of the defunct National Trading Center (NTC).

The Gambia’s Coronavirus infection rate had increased in recent weeks. The country had registered over three hundred COVID-19 cases. Many are dying from the virus.
