Bubacarr Bob Keita has been remanded at the mile two prison after been accused of rape, Freedom Newspaper can reveal. Mr. Keita appeared in court yesterday, where the court had ordered for his remanding. He has been accused of raping his ex-wife’s 15-year-old sister. The couple had a rough divorce.
Mr. Keita is a young Gambian businessman and also a strong supporter of President Adama Barrow’s government. He is among the founding members of the Barrow Youth Movement for National Development.
Until his arrest and prosecution, Keita, has been a Barrow’s supporter. His alleged rape case swung on social media last year. He was said to have been questioned by the police and released. Now he has been taken to court.
Bob Keita is the Chief executive officer for Fire Protect Gambia company. His alleged rape case has gained renewed impetus with the involvement of female lawyers who wish to see justice served in the case, according to sources.
Keita’s friends and loved ones have rallied support behind him on social media. One of them remarked “keep the faith Bob Keita.”
