Another fire incident has been reported at the Latrikunda Sabiji market, Freedom Newspaper can report. The incident happened on Friday morning. Over twenty stalls were burnt to the ground, leaving goods and other valuables destroyed.
The actual cause of the fire is unknown.
Personnel of the Fire and Ambulance Services were at the scene of the blaze, where they tried to dose off the fire. They couldn’t salvage the twenty stores. The stores were already engulfed by the fire.
This is the second time that the Latrikunda market has caught on fire. Reconstruction work was already on to rebuild the destroyed market.
