Gambian striker Alasana Jatta expressed his satisfaction after opening his Viborg account in the 3-1 home win over Skive IK in the Danish 1st Division.
The 21 year old notched his first goal of the season as he fired a shot from 20 yards out, which rocketed into the back of the net.
The former Paide Linnameeskond star did not endure such a satisfactory end to the night after being left on the bench for the past two games.
“It was good for me being back on the starting line-up and getting my first league goal of the season and an assist, “Jatta tells The Chronicle. “I was a bit disappointed having not started our first two matches but I kept my focus, listened to the coach’s advice and what he wanted and I’m happy he rewarded me with a start and I could repay his faith with this goal.”
Gifted with blistering pace and remarkable dribbling capabilities, Jatta has also revealed his personal target for the new season with Viborg FF. “I am getting my sharpness and fitness back considering we’re just beginning the league and with three matches played, “he said. I’m ever ready to go and do well for my coach and team whenever I’m needed.”
Viborg are second on the table with seven points after three matches.
