Medical mission takes Daniel Heiser to the Gambia

Deciding to travel across the world to live in the Gambia for six months isn’t a decision most people would consider, but for Aurora graduate Daniel Heiser that was the beginning of a new journey.
“I went there in January of 2017 and I was there for six months,” he said. “I went back last summer, 2019, for another month.”
Heiser traveled to Africa through the World Evangelization for Christ (WEC) organization. He was connected to the group through Bill Oswald, who acted as his mentor through the experience.
Oswald had brought up the group to Heiser after learning that he was looking to do medical mission work. He noted that this is how he originally got involved.
