Beerschot is extending Gambian striker Abdoulie Sanyang’s loan deal for another year. The Antwerp Belgian professional football club that competes in the First Division A has announced that Sanyang can train immediately under coach Peter Maes.

Like last season, Abdoulie Sanyang remains on loan from Superstars Academy, the club from the Gambia that still holds his transfer rights. Sanyang was also previously loaned to Belgian association football club Lommel, in 1B.

Last season, Sanyang was in the starting lineup seven times with Beerschot. He also came in during games on twelve substitute appearances. Sanyang did not score a single goal, though, in 711 minutes, but Beerschot still keeps faith in him.

The Gambian striker is only 22 years old and can take a big step forward next season. This time Beerschot has a purchase option for Sanyang. He can therefore be permanently own over at the end of the season.
