The People’s Progressive Party (PPP) has on 7 August elected 15 persons as its board of trustees.
The elected members are Ms. Aji Bintou Jaiteh; Mr. Malangba Manneh; Hon. Omar Amadou Jallow; Mr. Bakary M.S.A Manneh; Hon James FP Gomez; Ms. Tisbeh Jobe; Ms. Astou Lam; Mr. Kebba Danso; Mr. Alpha Jallow; Mr. Ousman Jarju; Ms. Aji Saptieu Jaye; Mr. Saikou Konateh ; Mr. Uthman A.N Jeng; Mr. Sanusi Touray; and Mr. Tijan Cham.
The fifteen members are expected to be the embodiment of the conscience, soul, and sanctity of PPP, as well as the mirror of the highest standard of morality to intervene in all disputes and crisis in the party to ensure stability at all times, among others, as per the Constitution of the party, PPP said in a statement.
The former ruling party now in the opposition, congratulated the board and looks forward to learning and working with them.
The move according to the statement is in fulfillment of article forty (40) of the party constitution.
