WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram are currently down leaving millions of users worldwide including The Gambia, without access.
Addressing the matter, WhatsApp confirmed the development and said it is working to restore normalcy.
“We’re aware that some people are experiencing issues with WhatsApp at the moment. We’re working to get things back to normal and will send an update here as soon as possible,” WhatsApp tweeted.
Like WhatsApp, Facebook also confirmed the occurrence and apologized for any inconvenience it is causing its users.
“We’re aware that some people are having trouble accessing our apps and products. We’re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible, and we apologize for any inconvenience,” Facebook said on its Twitter account.
The development is currently disrupting communication for thousands of WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram users in the Gambia and beyond.
